Ellen's Fun Activities

This has been happening in our neighborhood recently!

This article was in the May 20 local newspaper.
We see the backs of some of those buildings from the end of our street.
Was the bear in our woods???
Probably.

We didn't hear anything for awhile
but just yesterday and today
it was spotted in a small development across from us.
We keep hoping to see him...
but the game warden is hoping to safely catch him (of course)
and take him to a safer and more suitable location.

So, we will most likely not get to add a bear sighting
to our list of animals seen in our woods 😊

Ellen had two fun activities in the same week.

First one,

May 18

One of Ellen's friends wanted Ellen to come to her house for a visit.

We finally found an afternoon that suited

both of us.

Nicole planned the afternoon.
First they mixed up the ingredients for
Pooh Hunny Truffles.

While that was cooling in the frig
it was movie time....
and of course these ice cream loving girls
had to have a cool treat too!

Kelley and I had a wonderful time visiting on the screened porch.

After the movie they rolled the truffles in
chocolate chips, coco, or powdered sugar.

Yum YUM!!

The recipe came from a Pooh game Nicole had
ever since she was a little girl!

It was a warm fuzzy kind of afternoon!! 💕

Friday, May 20

Ellen attends Journeys monthly activities.
(and Journeys Sunday School class)

Ever since March 2020 the gatherings have been
either virtual or mostly outdoors.

A big party was planned for this night
with a dinner, games and dancing,
held outdoors in the pavilion at our church.

But,
it was very hot (a concern),
storms popping up was a very real possibility
so it was moved indoors to the gym.

The leaders made it as safe as possible for the kids
(young adults, adults)
to attend.

Ellen had a wonderful time!!

Ellen loves her new dress
we ordered for this special occasion!

I helped her register and find her table.

We had rolled the plastic ware in the napkins earlier that week
and helped with the candy favors you can see on the table!

Before it ended Dale and I went to watch them
during the last several dances.
(but first we enjoyed some milkshakes at Scoops!)

There's our girl!

Doing the Macarena!

She had such a good time!

We appreciate Journeys!

There's more for the month of May
but I guess it will be told in the month of June.
Can you believe we are there already????

I just saw that the bear was captured!

I so love all the great things Ellen participates in! She looks gorgeous in that yellow dress.

It’s June. Everything should slow down now so the warm weather can last for a looonnngggg time!

Looks like Ellen had a couple of wonderful get togethers, first with friends and then with Journeys. Her dress did look lovely and, of course, was in her favorite color with matching flower 🌼 hairpiece.

I'm glad that bear didn't come too close, and I see Jans comment that it was captured. :)
What a fun time for Ellen! She looks so pretty in her new dress.
I don't know how it can be June when it just was January 1!

I love keeping up with your posts. Alas, I miss my blog but there seems to be no hope of retrieving it.

Best,
Bonnie
