It's a beautiful weekend in March and I'm thrilled! Thrilled that it's March, thrilled to have a few warmer days, thrilled that our days are steadily getting longer, and most of all, thrilled that we are a complete household again.
My daughter-in-law spent 11 days in the hospital. She came home last Friday. She was happy to be home and we were so happy too!! Recovery is coming along...she's a fighter. But there is more healing, more strength to return. Then to face the next steps in recovery whatever that may be. We still desire your prayers!
Meals provided 2 times a week and the extra help in transportation for the kids getting home from school is a huge help. We are so grateful for the loving support we are receiving. Oh, and the gift cards....such generosity.
Now for some pictures, of course!
This sweet girl had a birthday, she's 12!
She decorated the cake herself.
The design sorta evolved into this because Nana
cannot make a good decorating icing to save her life!!
But is still looks good, Zoe girl π
Pictures from past birthdays...
Totally blessed to live in the same home as she does.
Love her to pieces!!
Her mama came home on her birthday...what a special gift!
We moved the dining room table into the living room, hung curtains for privacy,
a hospital bed was delivered, and we were ready for her.
She requested the bed to face the windows
because
she had just spent 11 days in the hospital in a semi private room,
hall bed, curtain always pulled,
only a few hours one day without a roommate,
there were 5 different ones.
She was ready to see the great outdoors!!
And she has the best view in the house π
A few more items were added to the room
to make it as comfortable as possible for her.
Soooo happy to have her home!
Zoe auditioned to sing
the National Anthem
at a Barnstormer's game this summer.
The Barnstormer's are a local minor league baseball team.
Our neighbor and good friend of Zoe
went with us to audition.
(was held at the mall)
Here they are practicing while she waits for her turn.
Molly sings every year and doesn't have to audition.
She did sooo good!!
I did FaceTime so her mommy could see her sing.
We were both crying!
And the crowd really cheered for her when she finished!
Not everyone got that loud and enthusiastic of an applause.
Several people congratulated her afterwards too.
And...
she was chosen to sing at a game!!!!
So proud, we all are .
I had one of these this week.
I LOVE them.
But I guess they no longer love me. π
My stomach was a bit uncomfortable for two days afterwards.
So sad!
Signs of Spring
Daffodils, yay!
Spring came to the front doors!
Pansies will come to the pots
but will wait a few weeks longer.
It still gets pretty cold in March around here.
Porch sitting!!!!!
When I can and it's warm enough.
Oh how I love to sit out there!
Ok, that's enough pictures. Till the next time....could be awhile again. My days are full and by evening I'm done! Please take care. Thankyou for showing up here. Hugs!

It's looking lovely around your area! Hooray for Spring.
So thankful that Christie is home, what an answer to prayer.
Hooray for Zoe! That is a huge accomplishment!
So glad that Christy is home and doing well. And congratulations to Zoe! I can't drink any shake because I am allergic to milk
Lots of good news in this post, Doris, starting with you DIL hospital release. It's nice that she can recover at home and that can see the outdoors vs. being in a hospital setting. Congrats to Zoe and belated birthday wishes too. Hope her injury heals soon as well.
So happy that Christy is home and healing with the sunshine coming thru the windows, I will keep her and you all in my prayers. Zoe is gorgeous and I know she had a great bday. Singing the national anthem is a big deal, I know y’all are so proud. Brave girlππ» Enjoy your day, a little cold snap down here. That’s what my Daddy always called itπ. Love you my friend❤️ Hope you get lots of porch sitting before too long☀️
