We are having the best time in Lewes, DE. The weather has been hot and sunny...sometimes very hot but I'd much rather have that than rain! We have one more full day then it's back home again. Why do vacations have to go so fast??

Very humid too.
We decided to do some shopping instead of the beach.
We are enjoying....
Our little condo!
It's tiny but has two bedrooms and two bathrooms...all very small!

The canal and lots of boats are right outside our condo!
Just so cool to watch the boats and to be near water.

We love the beach at Lewes.
Plus we are close enough to walk to it!
Enjoyed a ferry ride to New Jersey and back again!
It was a calm weather day, hot of course.
but calm when a boat is involved is very important to this gal 😊
(not saying there wasn't some rocking involved, there was.
I stay seated....!)
We enjoyed the Cape May County Zoo
in NJ.
Love this zoo!
Was a very hot day and many of the animals
were doing what they had to do....
finding shade!!
or as that fellow on the top left....
mud was the way to cool off!
We've been walking!
Besides walking to the beach,
we have walked the boardwalk in Rehoboth and the one by the canal.
We've been eating really, really good!
(we 'diet' next week 😀)

Food was yummy!
all the restaurants we ate at had outdoor dining....
we have not eaten indoors anywhere.
Oh and Ellen has had ice cream every day we have been here!!
Today we celebrated Ellen's 27th birthday!!
She had a very good day doing things she loves...

She loves celebrating her day at her favorite place...

So that is just a glimpse of our week so far.
The weather is changing here but we hope to get to the beach one more time.
Then we pack up and head home on Sunday.
Was hard to wait all summer for this vacation
but wow, what a reward
to have nice weather
and
this condo to be soooo good!
We will certainly be returning!

Hmm, 2020 purchase maybe?

I've been to Cape May, but not to the beach in Delaware. Your pictures make me want a return trip and visit to Delaware soon.
Belated Happy 🎂 Birthday wishes to Ellen and how great that she was able to go to her favorite place (yours as well it seems, Doris) and ice cream daily is a given at the beach. Glad you had good weather for the trip even if a bit warm.
