Grandchildren

It's been more than a week,

I've been places and done things

(wow, things are certainly different than a few months ago!!)

so how about I tell you about it?

I promise not to include a ton of pictures...

if you would like to see more,

friend request me on FB 😊

Saturday

We went to granddaughter Brinley's soccer game.

Hair flying!

It was a HOT day!!

Noah wanted to come so we put his car seat in our van and brought him...
first time in over a year we took any Grandchild away with us!

Sweet Cambrie ❤

Later we went to a tailgate dinner and baptism at our church.
The meal was brought to our car and was so delicious!
Chicken or hot dog, baked potato, roll and butter, veggies and dip.

A beautiful small pond on a neighboring property,
perfect for a baptism!

Music and dessert πŸ‘

So glad we went!

Yesterday the oldest Grand who lives here became a teenager!
He was such a little guy when we moved and now he's a teen,
totally blows me away.

He is not fond of pictures so this is all I'm posting here.

His other grandparents joined us for dinner on the porch.
The birthday boy chose takeout Chinese and a yummy cheesecake
for his birthday meal.
Such a fun celebration!!

I think the world of this kid and
am soooo blessed to live
and interact with him daily.

This morning I got a text from Greta asking if we would be home.
The boys wanted to come play.
Yes we were...
so I told them to bring some lunch and we would have lunch together too.

The boys went right to playing
and the adults sat on the porch with the ceiling fan to cool us.
Another very hot day!

They got hungry!
We ate and then went to play again.

Zoe set up the hose on the trampoline...
they had a blast!

All too soon it was time to say goodbye.
Thank you for coming and blessing my day!

A soul filler day again πŸ₯°

As for all the test and things that happened....
Heard back from one, all was well there.
My bloodwork came back much better than I thought it would.
Was much better than it's been in years!
And I'm still waiting on results from last Wednesday's procedure.

Also have an appointment this week for more checking of my eyes...
folks, I'm falling apart at the seams!

So much checking and testing and waiting.....
so not used to this!

Thankful that my faith is strong.
(It wasn't always strong, especially when facing hard times.)
So even IF all is not to my desire
I know who my strength comes from!

Soccer game, birthday party, play date and lunch - all with grandchildren!! So much better than a year ago! Woohoo!!!

Hugs and prayers as you go through all the checkups and the waiting. I’m sure you know the song that has the phrase, “He’s in the waiting.” Last year when I was waiting to hear a “verdict” in someone else’s situation, I remember blurting out to the Lord, “I HATE waiting!!!!” And immediately I heard that song in my head. I said, “Oh that’s right. You’re in the waiting. Grrr.” Love you, sis!

Check-ups are a must to keep our wheels turning and our hearts pumping, good for you for taking care of these. I am thankful for my FAITH too, SO SO thankful! Enjoy your day dear friend, save me a seat on the porch:) HUGS!

Glad to "see" that life is returning more to normal and that families are able to get together and enjoy one another's company sans masks. Hope all goes well with the test that you are awaiting to hear about, Doris. Our thoughts are with you.

I'm just happy seeing all this time with family. I know your heart is full.
Glad your preliminary tests are good. and I pray the others will be too. There is great comfort in knowing God is in control!
