Wow, it's Monday again!
Yesterday we were entertained by tons of birds
at the bird feeder and the tree next to it,
Doves and woodpeckers and some other small birds
which I'm not sure what they were.
I was watching a movie when Aidan came down to tell me
that I might want to look outside.
It was amazing! I couldn't get a good picture though.
Then later Dale came down saying,
"those crazy squirrels!"
So I went upstairs to get a better look.
TWICE Noah and I watched as a squirrel climbed to
just the right branch,
jump,
land on the rope,
shimmy itself along the rope,
climb into the feeder and have a feast!
He was not easily frightened out of it either!
Next thing I knew Dale was hacking at the branches
to get rid of the ones the squirrel was using ☺
Too funny.
Also yesterday afternoon Ellen and I watched
the Santa Clause movie with Tim Allen.
It's been awhile since either of us has watched it.
Of course we loved it!
Saturday evening we made smores...
might be the last time for this year.
Last week one day I had some time
to watch a movie.....
was probably doing something else too like folding laundry
or eating lunch....
and found my favorite Christmas movie on Roku.
The Preacher's Wife!
I love that movie.
The music gives me chills every time.
Whitney Houston will remain a favorite artist always.
When she sings this song
I worship right along with it...
I love the Lord
he heard my cry
and pitied every groan.
Long as I live
and troubles rise
I hasten to his throne.
Yes I will run, I will hasten to his throne!
And there are also songs that I clap and can't sit still...
Joy to the World....
they jazz it up a bit ☺☺
Gotta go,
Ellen is waiting for me to come and walk with her.
Take care, be safe!

Hi Doris, those squirrels are quite the acrobats! I love to watch the birds visit my suet too. What a beautiful collage of Ellen enjoying the movie. Your photographs are great. I have never watched The Preachers Wife....will do that soon, love and good health to you all.
Doris, I laughed about the squirrels, they are acrobats. They seem to find away to eat on the bird feeders. Glad your family has enjoyed every nice day. Bless Ellen's heart, she loves walking. Such good exercise too. I haven't seen that movie forever. I too love Whitney's voice. Blessings to you and your family, xoxo, Susie
You guys know how to have fun!
I love both of those movies.
Squirrels are so entertaining - and naughty too!
Those sure are entertaining squirrels and yea to s’mores. The Preacher’s Wife is a good movie, but I prefer the original film. the Bishop’s Wife with Cary Grant, David Niven, Loretta Young.
My youngest daughter got a full voice scholarship and when she sang Whitney Houston songs you would swear it was Whitney singing. She won every contest locally...and is now married with 3 kids and doesn't have time to sing anymore. I hope when they find a new church she can get back to the music worship team. They just moved to a new city. xo Diana
Boo for the crazy squirrels and Yay for s'mores. I loved that movie - will have to look it up and watch again. She had an amazing voice. Have a blessed day.
Squirrels are quite the entertaining animal to watch. I love that Santa Clause movie too. I need to watch it again. I would like to have Ellen to walk with. She is a good example to follow. Enjoy your day dear friend. Hugs.
Crazy squirrels!! As long as they stay out of your house! Remember the one that got trapped in Janet's church office and destroyed everything?
I noticed the shorts on that fireside picture right away! What are little boys made of?? I felt like I was always asking the little boys at Jeremy's if they were warm enough - walking around the house in bare feet when I was shivering, going outside in light jackets when I needed a sweater and a coat.
I don't think I've ever watched The Preacher's Wife. Maybe I will now!
