The Kids and Nana

School starts this week and we still have a few things to do. Here's another kids and Nana adventure.

One of our grocery stores was running a promotion to earn FREE tickets to Turkey Hill Experience. We like free. All I had to do was buy 4 Turkey Hill products and I could get the free admission. I bought ice cream (was on special too) and some lemonade 4 separate times.....we love ice cream, win win!

Thursday, August  16

To Turkey Hill Experience we go! It's only about 10 minutes from our house. We used the 4 free admissions and Noah was free. I only paid for one ticket!

Love the big cow!

It was really full....many grandparents had the same idea as I did.

They 'milked' a cow.....

And 'drove' a milk truck....

He took a moment to rock on the  porch.....

Smelling tea.....

They all said "EWW" !

We watched a short movie.....

Creating a custom flavor of ice cream....

Yup, the little one too!
He cannot be outdone!

Fun on the slide.....

He went down that slide many times!

More activities......

He loved watching the fruit and swirls that showed up after 'dumping'!

Then it was time for....

FREE Turkey Hill Ice Cream!!
As much as you desire =)

Cuties!

Sillies!

Another silly!!

We spent time in the gift shop too.

Noah loved playing with the toys and puzzle.

We didn't purchase anything but wow, they have some
cute and fun stuff!!

Next stop....
(we were not ready to quit yet!)

Columbia Crossings

We were shocked at how high the water still was.

We usually walk down some stairs there.
Not today!

Ducks were enjoying it!

Susquehanna River and the old bridge.
Rt 30 bridge in the distance.

Part of the walkway is covered in water.

He had a good time looking for stones to throw into the water.
This kid has an arm for throwing that you wouldn't believe!

Isn't this building beautiful?

We walked up to have a look from the balcony.

Nice view from up there!

But it was a really hot day and they were ready to move on.
No, we were not ready to go home yet!

The little one wanted to go to 'Donald's' all week

He got his Donald's

We enjoyed french fries and ice water
and the
air conditioning!

No, we still weren't finished.
Next was Community Aid, a favorite thrift store.

We shopped for books
and Ellen was thrilled to find a few Jeff Gordon treasures!

And then we were finished.....
oh no, not quite!

A stop at SKH
to pick up some rotisserie chicken and corn on the cob
for dinner.
Yum!

No surprise that I slept good that night!

I applaud you big time for taking the children to some fun places. You just cant beat ice cream! Liked seeing the river and the bridges....the water sure was high, due to all that rain lately. Hope some day the kids know how much time and effort you spent for them.
Have a good Tuesday!

I enjoyed all the pictures. It is so great that you can spend time with your grands and see/do things near home. I go to Empire when I get my hair colored, it takes longer, but I like the $ difference, and the product they use seems to cover my gray longer. I looked at the picture of the girls in the waiting area there and thought it looked familiar, then I read your words!
