Oh that Duck!

Yes, a duck. Not just any old duck, but, this duck....

Yes, this singing, jiggling duck
that was a gag gift from Gina two Christmas's ago.

Kids love this duck.
Adults will laugh
then
become very annoyed at this
singing, jiggling duck.

SOOOOO,
I put it out at my yard sale.
I asked a measly 25 cents for it.

We tried (sorta) to let our nephew's son take it home to his brother.
But good family relationships,
and the desire to keep it that way,
kept the duck for another buyer or interested party.

You can thank us later for that, Lashon ☺

Saturday yard sale came and almost went
before a lady saw the duck and got such a kick out of it,
so I was told.
I had already left to be with Ellen and her friends
for their May outing.

I believe she may have taken it home with her, but,
she got distracted with looking and with other items she was purchasing.

Later that afternoon,
Corey went to this red lunch bag......

in which Christy had packed some snacks for the kids

There was something in it, of course, including some snacks.

Later still, after I had arrived home and was cleaning up the kitchen,
I saw this red lunch bag on the counter.

I opened it to see if anything needed to be put away.

Imagine my surprise.....

What the....?
Oh, no!!

It's the DUCK!!

Even though I was not happy to see that duck,
I laughed and laughed and laughed!

Zoe admitted to putting it in the bag when the lady was distracted.

I guess that means we are stuck with the Duck..........

Bless you all today. It's a lovely day in PA. I took a bit of time to sit in the screened porch and drink a cup of pumpkin spice coffee earlier this afternoon. It was delightful out there!!

Coffee on the porch sounds delightful.

That is too cute about the DUCK!

When I was in my early 20's and working, we had a stuffed frog that appeared and disappeared a lot!

Oh Doris, that's funny:) The DUCK is there to stay! We have a similar "Cute at first, then annoying" doll at my daughter's house! My Sister gave it to one of the kids and it constantly laughs! We were cleaning her basement and of course woke that doll up! It laughed and laughed, perhaps all the way to the dumpster:) shhhhhh don't tell:) Sending hugs across the miles to you sitting on your gorgeous porch!

Hilarious story! We have a goat puppet that sings a yodeling song from The Sound of Music. Funny but annoying as well.

Doris, a lot of ouns came to my mind after reading this post, but it quacked me up that you did not duck out of having that fowl back at home.
