♥ We are Loving the New ♥ Moving Day....

Moving day was wonderful in every way. The weather wasn't too cold or too hot. We had just enough pick-up trucks, cars, and vans to hold our stuff. We didn't have too much help or too little help. Speaking of the help - they were GREAT!! All ages helped us carry our boxes, load furniture and more furniture, then do it all in reverse when arriving to the new house. Did they ever work hard!

Our Great help....

Kids, teens, young adults...

Our pastor on the right at the truck,
Dale's brother at the back of the truck...

Ellen posing at the BIG truck....
we filled that truck.
(and more!)

Dale and Ed (our Son-in-law's dad)

Several kids observe on the balcony =)

The freezer is loaded.

Ready to say
Good-by
to the Fahnestock homestead of 31 years..

After working at the new house, we fed the crew pizza...

Amy had other sons helping too, but I didn't get any pictures of them.
Some people had to leave before we ate...
did I mention, we had GREAT help?

What a happy, happy, long-awaited post!! I must say I started to feel a catch in my throat at those pictures of the "old house". I'd like a chance to go through it on Memorial Day weekend to kinda say my good byes to the "Witmer" homestead. If we can work it out. If not, no biggie.

So thankful for nice weather and good friends/family to help with this long-awaited move. I know you will enjoy many dinners on the porch.

Happy for you, Doris. But, those pictures of moving out of that house makes me want to cry! That house has been in our family since 1963. Moving is so much work, and very tiring on moving day. But the satisfaction of the big job completed is such a relief! I've been through it too many times.

Jeanie, I'm sure we can make that happen! Our brother had his walk through on Saturday. I wish we could have had everyone over for a meal before we moved. Oh we'll....
Mary Ellen, I feel so much better knowing that Kara and Mike love that house and can't wait to make it their home. I'm so thankful this is how it all worked out :)
