Georgia - Part 3

The reception was held at beautiful Smith-Gilbert Garden. All week the weather report said it was to rain on Saturday. Even on Friday the report was still showing showers in the forecast....maybe even a storm. If there was a good chance of a storm the reception would have to be moved indoors at the church fellowship hall. Katie really, really wanted to be in the garden....lots of prayers were sent to heaven and the Lord heard our cries. He delivered a beautiful, perfect day.....not too hot, no humidity, clear blue skies with  some white puffy clouds. We all felt blessed!

Enjoy more pictures, this time of the reception......

This is what we saw as we walked into the garden....
Lots of roses and that beautiful white tent,
green grass, trees and a blue sky!

Lots and lots of roses

I just love roses!

Table decorations...
books, ivy in mason jars, an assortment of old bottles and votive candles.
I loved it!

Scott takes a video as I snap a pic of his family.

This is Olivia, the youngest child of
Bob and Rose.
She looks just like her Mommy did at this age =)

Katie's bouquet,
So pretty!

Just love the pink Gerbera Daisies

First dance =)

Rose is having a wonderful time!
Was good to she her relax and enjoy the day.
She is one busy lady...
a full time college student,
Katie graduated from college that Tuesday,
she had out of town guests, lots of them,
and a wedding too!

Grandparents and Grandchildren on the dance floor =)

My sisters with Katie
Me, Rose, Katie, Mary Ellen, Betty

I realized that I didn't have any pictures of the Bridal party
so I borrowed two from my sister...
Katie with her beautiful girls.

The guys are holding the flowers!
They still are a good looking bunch =)

It was wonderful to be part of this special day. We can't say Thank-you enough to the Good Lord for providing perfect weather! It meant so much to Katie and her parents.

Katie and Matthew are Honeymooning in Jamaica. Life for the Wichterman's is returning to normal....minus Katie, of course. Olivia is sad about that just as my younger kids were each time a sibling left our home.

Next post will be photos of our time at Roses' home on Sunday before leaving to go back home. Good times, great memories!

Yesterday I got a package addressed to me......it was my Kindle!!!!! Greta set it up for me and I already bought a book. I am really loving my Kindle already!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!(oops, I think I lost a day somewhere, hehe! It's Wednesday!)

Doris, Thank you for your good coverage of the wedding. It is great to see the variety of photos taken by each of us. You have great pictures of the church buildings, I don't have any of the 1'st & 2nd church, just the newest one. Thank you, thank you for your great blog postings. Mary Ellen

I love weddings and this one is beautiful. The colors, the flowers, everything! I know the weather was a real worry last weekend but thankfully it was a gorgeous day and the reception in the garden looks magical in the pictures. Thanks so much for sharing.
Glad you love the Kindle!
