It's Always 'Happening' Around Here!

It’s been too long again....I sound like a broken record, don’t I??
Once again I’ll go through my pictures to see what I have to share about, what I’ve been up to.
Let’s start with a nice day.....

It is a happy memory!
Last Tuesday, Feb. 5, was a beautifully warm day.
So thankful I took the time to sit on my porch!

And the next day it looked like this....

Rain!

And today it looks like this....

Still snowing
and the kids went to school, no delay.

All kinds of weather headed our way into tomorrow,
snow, sleet, freezing rain, rain.
It will be a doozy!!

Ok, enough about weather.

Monday, February, 4.
A beautiful time with some of my siblings....

We gathered at my brother's home.
Nancy sets a beautiful table, always!

We gathered because these two were visiting from Idaho!
My sister, Barb, and her husband, John.

My sister, Mary Ellen, joined us and her housemate, Susan, too.
No pictures if them, sadly.

Our Ellen gave us a surprise...
I thought she was gong to squeeze next to me on the bench
but she sat on me instead and plopped her legs over her dad!

We had a wonderful time and it was way too short, always!

Making plans for a sister get-together at Dick and Nancy's in July.
We have the best time, always!
Can't wait!!

Can't forget about the Super Bowl....
(we could forget about the game)

Some of the kids gathered here for good food and fun.

The faithful few (bottom pic) who actually watched the game!
Ellen enjoyed Adan Levine.

Sweet busy Cambrie!

Toby enjoying his food and Ellen entertaining him.

We had a good time and I was super tired when it was over.

Another big event,
Night to Shine, Friday, February, 8.

Ellen got all dressed up and away she went
to be treated like a princess!

So cute!
Her dress of sequins reflects the light and any color!
She is always cold so we were happy that tights, little boots and a sweater
looked good with it.

When we got to the church she was thrilled to see
Deb and her Donegal HS cheerleaders!
As you may remember, they help the UDS challenger cheerleaders,
Ellen's favorite activity.

Ellen is always a bit anxious about something new....
this dance was new to her.
But when she saw Deb and the girls...
she told me, Now I'm excited! ♥♥

After getting her registered and with her buddy, I headed across the driveway
to another building for the parents, caregivers lounge.
Had to take this picture of the pretty sky first ☺

After the kids were finished eating, we were allowed to go and watch, mingle.
There were so many kids and areas of activity
and was hard to find her.

I found her....
standing in a long line waiting for a limo ride!

She and her buddy, a very sweet girl,
danced to the music while waiting.

She LOVED the limo ride!
After that, she got a tiara, they announced her name,
walked the red carpet to lots of cheers,
got her picture taken at the
Night to Shine backdrop.

It was a beautiful night!!!!

She had so much fun and can't wait till next year.

Was really hard getting a good picture of her dancing.
She loves to dance!

This beautiful corsage was also given to her....
Just the best night ever!

Thanks, Tim Tebow!

Saturday, February 9

Myers lady cousins and cousins-in-law gathering.
It's been two plus years since we last met.
Nancy hosted this event.

Some shots from where I was sitting....not the whole group.
We ate delicious desserts,
chatted, and then shared what was happening in our lives.
It was the best time!
These women are amazing, every one of them!

My brother graciously took a picture of all of us.
Of course, that's not all of us....
there were many that couldn't attend.

My sibs that attended....
me, Mary Ellen, SIL Nancy (hostess), Jean.

And with that, I will close.
We just got notice that the kiddos will be coming home from school early.
The snow continues....
instead of taking an expected break.

God be with you, God protect you, God bless you abundantly!

Even though you started this post with lamenting that it had been awhile between posts, Doris, we could easily see that you and your family have been busy, as always. The family reunion looked like everyone had fun, Ellen took a fun photo with her parents🙂and the night ti shine looked like a great evening for her. Hope you get back some porch time soon.
