Easter Day 2017

Our Easter day....

We started it early.

Ellen had an Easter basket to find.

On the hunt!

Found it!

Aidan and Zoe's were hidden too I but didn't have time to take pictures because......

I needed to be at church early and had food to prep and get into the oven. The ham was made the day before, was sliced and in a big pan all ready to be reheated in a slow oven. I prepared tiny potatoes for roasting, roasted them then put them in a crockpot to keep warm. I didn't get the dishes washed before church but, oh well ;-)

Our church service included children reading scripture....

Granddaughter Paityn

Grandson Aidan

There was lots of music; songs of celebration, adoration, and love for our risen Lord. (I helped sing on the worship team) Communion was also served during the service.

Amy shared a testimony while holding her precious baby
and her sweet toddler watching =)

It was a great service!

Our family, those it suited, came home for dinner. We had ham, garlic and herb roasted potatoes, baked corn, collard greens (Kim made both the corn and the greens and was very good!), broccoli salad, lettuce salad with strawberries and goat cheese (Marcy made this, yum!), cupcakes and homemade applesauce. Delicious!

Everyone got their Cambrie fix =)

She is every bit as squeezable and snuggable as she looks!
Such a doll.

Of course there was an egg hunt!

Do you see what I see?

So much fun!

Checking to see what was in the eggs.

Supper was leftovers plus grilled hot dogs and burgers, fresh veggies and dips, and fresh fruit. The kids were more hungry than the adults!

Some played a game after supper, I held Cambrie, and some chased bubbles.

Total enjoyment!

I went to bed that night extremely tired but filled with joy. LOVE this family of mine!

Tulips are blooming!

We also had an egg hunt and egg coloring in RI this weekend, and then a second egg hunt in CT. Looks like your family had a great celebration.

What a full and lovely Easter day you had with your family. I enjoyed each picture. Your grandchildren are growing, it took me a bit to figure out Zoe, she is changing so much. How wonderful to see your grandchildren reading scripture in church, what a blessing. Mary Ellen
