Trying something new and Spending time with the Grands

I just put dinner in the oven. I like to try new recipes. I'm trying one tonight. I saw a recipe on Pinterest using chicken, green beans, potatoes, lemons, olive oil and garlic. I HAD ALL THE INGREDIENTS....so excited and it didn't call for anything that I wouldn't shouldn't eat. Gathered all the stuff, put it together then looked to see if this recipe had reviews. Oh, yes it did. And, they weren't good.  I usually look at the reviews before I decide to try something. Guess we shall see what we think of it. I pulled out the sliced lemons that people said made the dish bitter and added some lemon pepper seasoning to the chicken. Hope we like it!

Ellen has camp this week and next. My days are busy with all the transportation this requires. Today, instead of going home between runs, I went to spend some time with these two (and to give their Mommy a helping hand) -

I love spending time with them in their home. We read a few books, Paityn was coloring a big picture when I arrived, Brinley sang some songs....so cute, I washed some dishes and folded some laundry. Mommy was able to get a shower and give Paityn a bath and wash her hair while I played with Brinley. Brinley is a very busy girl but as cute as a button!

Yesterday Aidan, Zoe and I spent some time at the mall between runs.

After a bite to eat in the food court, we went upstairs to see Mommy at work. The kids loved that! Mommy did too.

Blessings to you today!

P.S. The chicken was great! Loved the potatoes, too. The green beans were the most lemon-y but I liked that. Nicest thing about this was that it was made in one dish =) Recipe from Real Simple and called Pan Roasted Chicken with Lemon-Garlic Green Beans. Changes I made - I used boneless skinless chicken , I only had 1 clove of garlic, I used small white potatoes, sprinkled lemon-pepper on the chicken and sprinkled a bit of thyme on meat and veggies. The kitchen smelled wonderful while this was cooking!

That sounds really good. I'd like to look it up if I ever remember to. How nice that you got to spend time with Marcy and the girls!

I know Marcy appreciated your help, and Paityn & Brinley must have been delighted!

We like easy recipes any time, but especially summer. This one had ingredients we usually enjoy too. Thanks for the review.
