what i've been up to

Whew, it's been a busy couple of days!
  • I cleaned the downstairs on Wednesday
  • I didn't feel like cleaning but I knew I would be very disappointed in myself if I didn't because....
  • I hosted our Women's Ministry that evening.
  • 8 ladies fills my living room.
  • I also taught the lesson. I have not done this very often. I don't mind teaching. I love to speak or teach on the subject of Alzheimer's and dementia. But teaching God's Word is an awesome responsibility and I tremble at the thought. I think it went ok....it was wonderful to be together, to study and pray together.
  • Thursday and Friday were days with my Aidan and Zoe.
  • Aidan remembered that I would be at his house this morning when he woke up. He called me when he was ready to get out of bed. He wanted me to get something from his crib. I was having a hard time reaching in over the side rail and told him I might fall in. He looked at me and said in the sweetest tone, "My bed is perfect for me". Melt my heart =)
  • Aidan called me to get him out of bed....but while I had my back turned gathering clothing for him to wear, he climbed out by himself. I told him he could have fallen. He was happy announce that he didn't fall! Worry wart Nana!
  • Zoe thinks it's very funny when someone smells her feet and says they stink! Oh the sweet giggles! Then she grabs her foot to smell it....precious!
  • I will keep them again tomorrow. Christy works. Corey is trying to get a new floor in the powder room. They are hoping to put their house up for sale soon. I offered to keep the kids so Corey could get more done.
  • Even though I already cleaned once this week, I will need to do it again. Uggg. I'm still hurting from the cleaning that I did on Wednesday. I think I must be getting old....
It was a good week.

I remember when some of our kids thought it was so funny when I would say "poo tinky" as I smelled their feet. For some reason Austin doesn't think it's funny at all. But he does giggle when I say that this little piggy went "wee, wee, wee, all the way home" ending up at his arm pit. He's definitely ticklish there.
