Sunday = A Family Day

What a beautiful Sunday we had. The weather was perfect. And having the kids and Grands here was beautiful too!

After church Marcy, Scott and Paityn and Lynn came for lunch. I had some chicken breasts in a BBQ sauce in the crock pot which we ate over baked potatoes. I found the recipe on Penny-Pinching Provisions blog....check my side bar. I also made a wonderful pasta salad I found on her blog. Everyone loved it. I didn't feel like baking yesterday...... Tasty Cakes were on special at Weis Markets. That worked!

Later Corey, Christy, Aidan and Zoe joined us. They had a birthday party to attend first. And Kim and Andrew soon showed up, then Greta after she was done working. I put out more food and ice cream. It's Sunday and we always have ice cream!

Andrew watched his Cowboys play...

.........and lose. Sorry Andrew.

The little ones played outside while some of the adults watched them...and chatted ....and ate some more....and enjoyed the nice weather. The little ones also played indoors. Most of the toys ended up on the floor.....normal!

Pardon the lack of clarity...but you can get the picture =)

Corey helps Aidan put a puzzle together again.
Not sure why this puzzle is such a hit....to take apart.
It's a royal pain to put together again!

This is where all the toys came from.
Paityn wanted me to open the doors and let them open.
And you already saw the results of Nana honoring that request =)

Now everyone is gone. They are watching the Eagles play on their TVs and I know Marcy is watching her beloved Phillies. Dale is switching between the Phillies and Eagles games. I suppose the very tired little ones are snuggled in their beds. I'm tired too and am heading to bed after I make a cup of tea to take with me.

It was a great day! I hope and pray yours was too!

So that's where the toys are? It reminds me to ask you - did you ever find a pair of little round wooden earrings after we stayed last time? I thought I put them on top of that piece of furniture.

Your family day sounds so fun.

Jeanie, I did find them (actually they were beside the tv) and a pink comb that may be yours too. I have them in a baggie just waiting to be returned =)

Well, it looks like a wonderful Sunday to me! The toys at my house look the same when the grandkids are there! I have a chest in the family room where some toys are kept and an entire bedroom upstairs full of toys! They can sure make a mess!

Enjoy your day my friend! HUGS!

Yes, I was watching the phillies and Scott switched to the eagles game during commercials. Paityn was asleep by the time we got to the end of White Oak Road and we put her right in bed when we got home. Marcy
