Oh Dear, what can the matter be?

The thunder storm was brief. It came around 1:30 this morning. I heard it rumbling in the distance. I hoped and prayed it wouldn't come our way. (because I didn't want my sleep disturbed!) I fell asleep again. Then an extremely bright flash and a huge crash caused me to jump right out of bed! After finding my glasses, I went to Ellen's bedroom. She was out of bed too. It was decided to go downstairs to wait out the storm. Hubby checked the washer and dryer....they were ok. He shut down the desktop computer.

This morning we cannot get the computer to start up again. Hubby tried and Greta tried. Oh dear. I guess we will need to call on the intelligent techie ones in the fam (Corey, Scott, Lynn, help!)..... hoping we don't need to replace it just yet.

It's a beautiful morning. Have a great day!

Oh my, I am happy you all are OK and hopefully a little fix will be all that is needed for the computer! Big hugs!

Wow!! Didn't that happen to your old computer?

The storms must have headed toward you after it left us. We had storms off and on from about 3PM till midnight. Just crazy. We've barely had any all summer!

I don't think it stormed here at all last night. I will ask Scott if he has any suggestions of what might be wrong with the computer or things you can try to get it to turn on. Marcy

why is it that storms always seem to come in the middle of the night to wake you up! Hope the computer gets better!

last few days our class held a similar discussion about this subject and you illustrate something we have not covered yet, appreciate that.

Yikes! So sorry about your computer. Did you have it plugged into a surge protector? I do, but I still worry during a storm and try to turn mine off. Sure hope you don't have to replace it.

LOVE your header photo. Oh.my.word...gorgeous!

I was hoping you had posted the recipe for the apple cake you mentioned in your comment tonight.

Hugs,
Kat
