A Princess Party

Yes, our little sweetheart is going to be six! I remember the day she was born so clearly. It wasn't long after I got the call at work that a baby would be born sometime that day....went across the hall to tell my friends....came back to my office and got the call that she was here! Our Zoe!

Her party had a Princess theme...she is all things girly!

Family arrived and we ate pizza (salad for me, it's ok!) and lots of goodies.

Cousins of Zoe playing a game until it was time for gifts!

This is the favorite part of every kid's party!

Zoe's Aunt Lisa made this play dress for Her. She loves it! Aunt Laura, Aunt Donna and cousin Rylie gave her the Frozen cap with the long blonde braid...loves that too!

Time for cake!

Zoe, we had a wonderful time at your party! We know you will love being 6!

She had fun playing with her new toys. After school on Monday, she asked PopPop to help her put together her OPI Nail Salon from Paityn and her family. It's the cutest little thing! I told her we will need to schedule a pedi at a real salon when the weather gets warmer :)

Today after school she was playing with the Barbie eye doctor set. Again, it's the cutest little thing!

Oh she has been having such fun picking out a new outfit to wear to school. She will have enough for each day this week!

This was Monday! She also took the Frozen hat to show her friends! Today she wore a beautiful dress from Aunt Kim.

She chose her Frozen leggings instead of the ones you gave her, Kim. That girl certainly loves Frozen!

This Nana loves her Grand's Birthday Parties!

Snippets from our Weekend

This will be a post of random pictures. We had a busy weekend so I'll just show you highlights today.

My mother's last living sister passed away last week. Her memorial service was on Saturday. It was sad to say goodby to the one who most resembles my mom, but so sweet to see so many of the Myers family! (Aunt Alma felt like a connection to my mom since she passed away at the young age of 59). Many cousins attended the service and we gathered for a picture!

42 first cousins in all.....so, not a bad representation at all!

Our son-in-law, Lynn, gave the message at church on Sunday. (Lynn is Greta's hubby and dad to Carson) A friend took this picture and posted on FB...
He did a fabulous job! This is only the first of many, I'm sure.

Our sweetheart, Miss Zoe, had a birthday party on Sunday afternoon. She will be 6 this week. What a fun time we had!

I borrowed this pic from friend, Amber...it's perfect!

More pictures from the party another day.

Amber also took pictures of me with Noah....I didn't know until I saw them on FB. I'll post this one because....
...it clearly shows how much I love this baby! I cannot kiss his little head enough!! I'm glad he doesn't seem to mind :))

My Monday needs to get rolling.....here's to a great week! Blessings!

Snow, Freezing Rain, Ice, Rain

We have had all of the above in less than 24 hours.

Periods of heavy rain is predicted today. The snow will surely go away....
The snowman has lost it's hat...and is leaning.....say goodbye to Frosty.

It's a good day to be here looking out!

God Bless your Tuesday! I'm checking Pinterest for Easter and Spring decorating ideas :) Gonna be a struggle to wait until the first of March to put out Spring!

P.S.
It was surely gonna happen...and it did.

P.S.S.
And then the skies cleared, it became a sunny day!

Valentine's Evening with the Grands

There was a special comedy night at church for couples last evening. Two of our children attended with their spouses....we kept the kiddos :)

I made the traditional jello hearts....the Grands don't seem to be as fond of them as our kids were!

I also bought candy and let them have some too ;-)
Ellen helps herself!

The kids do like these hearts!

We made pizza for dinner...that's something they all enjoy.

They threw a ball in the house :)

Games....hand held and Sorry!

This game was taking too long so we quit when Brinley got one game piece Home....the first one to accomplish that!

Next, it was ice cream and a movie.
We chose Charlotte's Web. (I kinda pushed for this one....been a long time since we watched it and I'm not fond of Action Heroes or dinosaurs!) They enjoyed it.

We tried to take some selfies :)
These girls :)

Got it...sorta!

PopPop was in charge of the baby. He has a cold and needed to be held. He took a nap on PopPop...woke up like this...
Such a cutie! I sent a pic to Mommy so she wouldn't worry about him.

After the movie, Paityn was tired and went to sleep on the sofa. She has a cold too. Brinley and Zoe went to the loft to play with Barbies and Aidan played with the Leapster. Noah was ready for his mommy when, actually he was ready a bit before, they got home. He loves his mommy!

We had a great time. We don't do this enough. I would have liked to bake something or do a craft but I just didn't feel up to it. Besides the weather we've been having has not been the kindest to the roads. I've not driven anywhere all week.....except to pick up Zoe at school on Friday. I'm a fair weather driver!

Till the next time, our sweet Grands....Nana promises to be more prepared :)

P.S. I just remembered something from last night. After the movie I encouraged Brinley and Paityn to put on their pj's. Zoe said in a very surprised tone....Look, Brinley stayed in her clothes the whole time!! Brinley loves to change clothes...dress up clothes or put on Zoe's :) But last evening she didn't. We could even find her socks and boots when time to leave!

A Little [off] Today

I don't get sick very often at all. I'm not sure I'd consider myself sick today either.  I do have a sore throat and a slight cough. I'd feel ok to be in bed but I'm ok to be up.....yes, that's how it is today :)

Thankful for PopPop to be home today to help with the baby. He's teething and is not his happy-go-lucky self. He just needs more holding and interaction to keep him happy.....it's all good! Currently his sister is showing him all her Valentines from her friends at school. So sweet!

It's cold and will be getting even colder this weekend. Pumping gas just now was c.o.l.d. I'm still shivering :)

Take care and God Bless!

Where there is Snow

Where there is snow....

They love their creation :)

Noah is watching the action from the warm indoors.

Yesterday the sun and blue sky made our world a beauty!

God Bless your day!

Winter Wonderland

It's snowing. This time it's sticking to the trees, it's not windy, it's a gentle snow. Our world is beautiful.....and I'm indoors, just where I prefer to be on a snowy day!

It's to snow all day. The kids are getting an early dismissal.

Zoe came outside with me to see the snow.

Today is my Dad's birthday. He's had several birthdays in Heaven now.

Here's my Dad and Mary looking at photos at a family gathering.

Dad listening to grandson Matthew play his guitar.
Dad enjoyed his Grands so much!

Dad with Great-grand Aidan.

My Dad was a gentle man. There was never a time that I doubted his love for me or for our family. We are blessed! Missing him today.

Super Super Bowl Party

Our house was full!
It was noisy!
It was FUN!

The day started with beautiful sunshine.

And ended with a beautiful sky.

It was prettier than what my phone could capture.

Soon family and friends arrived. They brought food, kids and laughter :)

We had lots of food!

There was more food than what I took pictures of....soup (2 kinds), chicken (two kinds), meatballs, cheese, ring Bologna, crackers, guacamole, veggies, fruit, chips (lots of different kinds!), cookies, cake, popcorn...it was all so good!

Carson digs in!

Some came for the game, some came to visit.

There were about 30 people here for our party!

Someone brought some pretty tattoos for the little girls.
Greta and Kim work together while Ainsley is watching.

Zoe shows off her pretty tattoo bracelet!

Sorry for the fuzzy pic...Christy, Donna and Ellen dance to the halftime show :)

It was a long game.
It was a late night!
Some left at halftime, some stayed for the entire game.
There were tired people in this house this morning.....but,
We had so much FUN!
