It’s January

 Let the weeks fly by

as this is not my favorite time of the year.

We’ve had several foggy days.

This was one morning when the fog was lifting,

but in no time it was foggy again.

Was foggy and damp again today!

This is what happens when we have lots of damp days...

Taken through the window

so it’s kinda hard to see the green on the screen.

Zoe says it looks like I threw my smoothie on it!!

Another reason this isn’t my favorite

time of year,

Started taking down Christmas 😞

Only the lights remain on the tree!

I wasn’t going to take the tree down yet
but as I was putting away the other decor
it just seemed to say that it was time.

I’ll be looking forward to the day when it
goes back up again...

I love Christmas!!

Take care,
Think Spring!
(kidding, sorta)

Foggy days are dreary, but also pretty! Christmas is down here, except a skinny tree I keep up in the dining room for a while. It's not decorated - just white lights and I call it our winter tree. :)
I'm with you - think Spring!

I'm definitely feeling the after-Christmas let-down-blues. I took down all my decorations but the tree is still up with the ornaments on it. I just don't feel like doing it yet. And yes, here in Seattle it's the time of year where it's gray and gloomy 6 out of 7 days. One year we even went 32 days straight without any sun! :( I will definitely 'think Spring' with you!

We send out best wishes to all of you for a better new year for all. The holiday decorations are still up in our place, except for the exterior hallway ones which were changed from Christmas to snowmen over the weekend, tis the season.

Yes, I saw the green on your windows. Yuck! It is another gray day here in Philly. I just want some sun. I don't want to wish my life away, but I sure could use some spring around here. Maybe by spring things will be better and we can have lunch together again. Have a good new year!

Oh the cold and damp is just plain YUCK! My Christmas tree is still up and there are lots of gifts yet to be delivered. Sickness has made my Christmas sad in a lot of ways. BUT... this too shall pass and I will look forward to next Christmas when hopefully life can return to somewhat normal. I told Marc that I might just leave my tree up all year, of course he didn't agree:) Enjoy your day dear Doris, HUGS!

We all did what we could this year and had some happy times. I took everything down the day after Christmas and will look forward to a new year of goodness and happy times.

Wow, I'm surprised you took it all down already! But you did put your things up earlier than I did. I'm going to enjoy my Christmas things this week yet, then put it all away over the weekend.

Thankfully it will stay in the 30's this week. I actually got out and walked today for the first time in weeks. Spring feels very, very far away right now. Sigh.

Doris, Fog to me is like snow...pretty to look at and horrible to drive in. I worry for people who have to get out in it. I love your porch and view. Blessings to all of you, hope all is well. xoxo, Susie

I don't like damp.

But do like fog, or as I call it, 'Dragon's Breath'! -smile-

What is that 'green' please?

Have not taken Christmas down yet, but I am feeling like I need to do some of it. A bit here and a bit there. Although we do not decorate as much as we used to. Still like the prettiness of the tree and the mantle, though. -smile-

And in Feb., we can put up a few Valentines!
