Our New Years Eve

Happy New Year! 2016....I'm sure I will continue to write 15. Habits are hard to break.....but, bring on the new :)

Most of the family was here to bring in the new year last night. We had fun, as usual!

We ate....

Lynn made very good wings. Scott made several sauces and Lynn made their medium hot sauce. I made a huge pot of pulled chicken, Kim brought cheese balls and crackers, we had salsa, guacamole and chips, fruit.....and more. It was all so good.

Some played Star Wars Monopoly, thenMario Cart...

They had a great time!  Been a long time since this bunch played that game.

The kids watched a Star Wars movie in the loft....
They started out on the floor...then Zoe and Brinley wandered in and out....then the two older ones ended up sitting on the chair....Aidan is checking out the game going on below him!

We did a lot of laughing....
Scott tried some nasty Jelly Bellies. I think he's eating ice cream on this picture maybe to mask the taste of horrible jelly beans! We ate ice cream at 11p...crazy!!

After we rang in the new year, everyone packed up and went home; I went straight to bed!

Aidan was especially thankful to be able to party till midnight this year. Last year we were sick and all party plans were canceled. He was a very disappointed little boy!

Today we're not moving much....hubby kept the fire going and I'm as comfortable as can be right here.

Tomorrow will be the day to put Christmas away. Sad, but it needs to be done. The wonderful month of December goes way too fast. It seemed especially busy this year and I'm not sure why.

May your 2016 be filled with blessing!

I can tell you had a grand time spending New Years Eve with your family. Once it is over, it is totally over and time to move on for us. I took everything down and put away yesterday. We both said we need a good book to start now.

Belated Happy New Year wishes to you and your family, Doris. How wonderful to mark the passing of one year and the arrival of the new one surrounded by those you love. Ours was spent quietly to home, which was fine with us!
