This is good :)

Our girl, Ellen, is working with LLESS...Lancaster Life and Employment Skills Service....starting today. She will be working with Candie who will help her to clean her bedroom, learn to wash and fold her laundry, make meals, budget her money, do fun things in the community.... All things to help her be ready for more independence for when she's ready  to live apart from us.

Ellen is making Chicken Parmesan. Yes she is :) She has always been nervous about working with a stove or oven. Working with someone other than me is good. Crazy how that works!

Monday and Thursday are the days she will be with LLESS. I'm so excited for her to have this opportunity.

Life is good!

P.S.

This is part of making a meal. LLESS has the client wash by hand because who knows if a dishwasher will be in the home where they may live one day.

How wonderful! So very true that kids learn some things better from somebody else than Mom!

What a great opportunity for Ellen. Tell her "great job!" I know she will look forward to learning something new each week. Not until I saw this photo of Ellen by the sink did I realize that you can see your pretty porch from the window! Love it!

This is awesome! I guess this is kinda bittersweet for you, huh? But so great! You don't see enough of this. We had a program like this for a long time in my home town

I seem to always be late commenting these days due to change of computer, problems, etc. I think it is a great idea and the experience will be invaluable one day. Happy weekend.
