Light Up the Night

Light Up the Night was the theme of the IU Prom. Ellen had a wonderful time!

First she has an appointment with Jess to get an updo. Jess is very talented!!

Ellen loves that old hand held game. She takes it everywhere!!

Almost finished. So pretty!

Before Jess started on Ellen, Zoe asked if she could clean up the hair from her previous client. Zoe did a great job! She said she loves to help....yes she does! So sweet.

All dressed up and ready for her big night!

Beautiful wrist corsage made by Petals with Style.

Her brother snaps some pictures too. He's also holding a precious bundle who came home that afternoon, sweet baby Noah.

Ready to go to our next stop...she never leaves home without her purse, stack of books, and her game. Never.

We meet with some friends at Ellen's friend Elizabeth's house.

Jimmy, Nicole, Ellen, Elizabeth, Ben.

Coach T (Elizabeth's dad and Challenger Baseball coach for all the kids except Ben) decided to get in the pic. :) the kids act like he shouldn't be there!

E actually acts like she is leaving this shot :) the kids had a good laugh then posed for a picture...with wonderful Coach T.

Ellen and Nicole meet these two special ladies who were going to the prom to assist any of our kids who would need it. (No parents allowed...this is their night!) Ellen had school teachers at the prom. Some of her friends are not involved with the IU and didn't have that advantage. These two provided a level of peace :) they also were taking many pictures, gave each if the girls an album and promised them a disk from which to print pics to place into the album. Special, indeed!!

Dapper Ben and his mom.

Ellen and Nicole.

Off we go to Bent Creek Country Club.

Ellen with her friend Sarenah and another friend from School to Work.

Group of friends with Jackie from Aaron's Acres. These kids were involved in AA for many years. Some are getting to the point if being too old for the programming, including Ellen. :(

I forgot to say that Risa  Paskoff, the Director of AA, was at Elizabeth's house. She said she couldn't miss seeing these kids on their special night. So special!!

I'm gonna take a picture of you!

Pretty centerpiece !

We always go to see the last several dances.....
Dance floor was still full. She is out there for every dance!

Our girl is a good dancer!

Another chapter in our special girl's life has ended. It was a wonderful ride.... More wonderful memories to be made post school, for sure!

This just really gives me tears. Tears of joy for such a wonderful event and all the caring people involved, and tears of sadness that she's outgrowing these special things. She looks so beautiful and radiant on all these pictures.

Ellen looks so pretty! I love her hair. I'm impressed with her brothers skill at taking photos while holding a baby. :)
It looks like everyone had a fun night, and I bet those helpers really enjoyed themselves too.
