2 Weddings

Saturday, May 14, 2011 will forever be a special date for two brides that I know and love.

  • My niece Katie will be marring Matthew in Powder Springs, GA. Katie is the oldest child of my youngest sister Rose. She is very close in age to my twins. Those girls had some really special times together! We never lived in the same state but the girls could just seem to pick up where they left off at each family time the Wichterman's could attend. I have never met Matthew but I know he is a very special young man. Congratulation Katie and Matthew!
  • My friend Cathy is marring Bill in Dickson City, PA. Cathy and I met years ago through her Mother who had attended our church. She has two daughters and 3 grandchildren. She moved to a northern part of PA quite a few years ago. Her Mother also moved out of our town several years before she passed away. It was hard to keep in close contact but every time we did get together, no matter how brief, it felt like we could just pick up where we left off too! Thanks to Facebook it's a lot easier to keep track of one another! Cathy is living life with MS. She lives her life to the fullest in spite of the challenges MS brings. I admire her greatly! I have not met Bill but I know Cathy is more than crazy about him so he must be a-ok! Congratulations to Cathy and Bill!
To all my readers - Have a great week-end!

I didn't realize that you know Cathy. Nelson and I and a couple from Erisman went to Dickson City, Saturday afternoon. We NEVER did find the church (it was in a strip mall and not identified very well), so we gave up trying to find it. Went to the reception and found that location with NO PROBLEM. It was good to see Cathy, Jesica and her children. Amanda wasn't able to be there. Bill does seem to be a very nice guy. In fact, Bill and Cathy prepared the food for the reception and it was quite a feast. We felt honored and blessed to be able to attend their special day. -Alma
