Quiet

It's quiet here. No littles, no teens or young adults, no hubby. So what is happening? What do I do with quiet? There was a time in my life when I longed for quiet and stillness. During that season when I did get the rare chance for some alone with just me time, it was so strange I wasn't sure I liked it!

Today, in the current season of my life, I relish it! I spend time with my Lord, I read, I ponder, I listen to His whispers into my heart and soul.

Be still and know that I am God. Psa.46:10

Another verse meant especially much to me today:

Rev.3:8 - See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.

WOW!  God is so good! That was my reaction even though I'm not sure what all that verse means yet.  But, in the stillness or during the stuff this day may bring, I intend to have my ears tuned to what He has to say.

Have a great Friday!

Love the picture Doris. What a fun time we had that day! For those who don't know.... the Balanced Rock is about 7 miles from our house in Idaho.
So glad you had a nice quiet day.

Your post blessed my heart. Wonderful verses, and yes, the memories of Balanced Rock. That weekend in ID with Barb & family was so special. MEW
