An Eclipse and a Birthday

Wasn't sure if we would be able to see the eclipse because of all the trees....but we could! There were clouds at times but not so often that it impacted seeing the changes too much. We had about 76% coverage here so it didn't get very dark. The kids loved it!

We took turns using the glasses. A memory maker :)

Yesterday was also Grandson Carson's birthday! He is 3.....although he told me he's 6!! We had a great time at his house last evening to celebrate. His Good grandparents were there also.

His mommy, our daughter Greta, made this cake!! It had three layers!

Carson, you are too adorable!!

He wanted cake and ice cream before gifts. So that's just the way we did it!

He throughly enjoyed opening each one!

Oh, what's that?? He knew....Money!

From us.....I didn't have time to shop, sadly.

We also gave him a book written and illustrated by my niece who lives in Sweden. He loves books and he has a special bear. It's a perfect book for Carson!

That's it for today. Enjoy your Tuesday!

Happy Birthday to sweet Carson. The cake looks delicious!

We had total darkness here. It was a fun experience.

What a happy little guy that Carson is!! He will probably be a loud laugher just like his dad! How cool that you gave him that book! Sammy really enjoys Miki's second book because she has things hidden in it that have to be looked for.

As you know, I watched the eclipse on TV as they showed various locations along its path. The excitement was so incredible when the halo around the moon became visible it just gave me tears every time!
