It's a Marshmallow World

Good Morning!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
We have a beautiful white world this morning.

Taken from our back door when I got up.

View from the laundry room door.

Looks like it will be a pretty day. I'm enjoying a cup of coffee while I'm enjoying the pretty trees from warmth of our house :)

Ellen has been awake since 6a and has been giggling and laughing in her bedroom......she's watching something funny on her iPad. I know she's very anxious to see the parade on TV. And then we go to Lebanon County for a big Myer family gathering (hubby's mother's family) and lots of delicious food :)

Speaking of the Thanksgiving Day parade in NYC....I have a nephew and his wife who are there to see the parade this morning! How exciting that must be!! We will see them tomorrow evening when some of my Witmer family gathers here. Looking forward to that!

Blessings to you on this day set aside to remember and give thanks. My goodness, we have SO much to be thankful for.

Snow

It started to snow this morning. It's now heading towards evening....it's still snowing!

No porch sitting today!

Whoa, what happened to my view??

Playing in the snow is the best!

Aidan kicks his ball :)

It will be a very white Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Pesky Brother....and the Fireplace!

Thanksgiving vacation is here....as of 4 o'clock this afternoon. Aidan seems to be in a pesky mood. Just take a look....

I really wanted to take a picture of Zoe with her new haircut and style.
Her brother thought it would be a blast to photo-bomb.....

Is he still back there??

Ok, she has had ENOUGH!!

He really must leave me alone.

Are you ready to take my picture now, Nana?

Cutie :)
But notice the green sweatshirt on the lower left corner, haha!

We had our chimney inspected and cleaned this afternoon.

This fella did a good job.

So, why wait to make a fire, I ask?
We don't wait!

Corey had some helpers bring in wood and crumble up newspaper.

We have fire!

Lovely :)

We now need to decide what we must do to have this loveliness put forth enough heat to keep us warm during winter. We believe a fireplace insert is in our future.....maybe this year or the next.

Snow is to be in our area by tomorrow afternoon. Yippee, not!!

Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving! Yippee for turkey and pumpkin pie :)

Crazy....good! Today anyway.

I could not believe how warm it was when I went outside this morning. I ran some errands..... The sweater I wore felt way too warm!

So where do you think I spent some time this afternoon?

You bet I sat on my porch.

I enjoyed every moment. I sat and drank some pumpkin spice coffee. I delighted in the beauty of the sky. Ahhh, loved it!

My view has changed a lot. No leaves on the trees, but.....I now see houses that have always been at the bottom of the hill, I just couldn't see them. I see big buildings and fields. I miss the leaves but I'd say it's still pretty awesome.

Guess I will have to stay turned to the weather for tomorrow. It may look different again.... White, this time. Guess the porch sitting will have to wait till the next crazy good day :)

Baby Snuggles

Look who came to spend time with us this afternoon. Baby Carson!

Aidan and Zoe are SO excited!

They entertained him. He giggled! Is there anything cuter than baby giggles? Ahh, so sweet.

He got sleepy so Nana walked and jiggled and rocked him to sleep.

I'm enjoying this. Sweet dreams, precious boy :)

His Mama posted this picture this week...

Carson is 3 now months old.... So hard to believe! We love you, Carson!

18 Boxes :)

So after I posted yesterday, I decided to look on-line for my favorite tea, Candy Cane Lane. My first stop was Amazon because that's usually where I go. I found it and sent in an order for 12 boxes. It was close to the price I'd pay at any grocery store. The delivery date was after Thanksgiving to sometime in December. That seemed like a long wait but was happy to know I wouldn't need to keep checking the stores. Who has time for that??

THEN... I decided to check the Celestial Seasonings site. It was less expensive there AND the delivery date was much sooner. I placed an order (ordered enough to get free shipping) and canceled the Amazon order.

What a surprise when I read an email last evening that said my Celestial Seasonings order had shipped. No kidding!!

Look what was delivered to my door at 10:30 this morning...

Thrilled! I wasn't home when it came. When I looked up the tracking around lunchtime, it said it had been delivered to my front door. Sure enough, there on my front stoop sat this lovely stack of boxes. Thanks, Fed Ex!

18 boxes of this wonderful tea!
It won't be enough to last till next November. Oh well, I intend to enjoy every cup I make.... That's 18 boxes x 20  tea bags per box :)
I will share. Corey likes it too!

And, I will offer some to anyone who wants to join me for a cup of delicious tea!

Uh, that's minus 1 tea bag.....I'm already enjoying some.
It's really that good!!

Call me happy :)

Howdy, Partner!

Zoe's pre-school has been having a Wild West theme. Today they dressed the part.

Zoe says.....

Howdy, Partner!

What a cutie :)

It's a dreary Monday. It's raining and so cold. I am thankful it's not cold enough today to snow!!

We did have snow last Thursday.

This was taken early... Before it got dark outside. There was more snow accumulation on the grass than shown here.

The next morning...
Most of the snow soon disappeared.
We do live in a beautiful neighborhood!

I'm looking for my favorite tea that is usually found in some stores this time of year.... Candy Cane Lane. Anyone find some yet?? I rarely shop in regular grocery stores (discount grocery is my usual) so I may miss out. That would make me sad, indeed.

Starbucks had a BOGO....I had my first, for this year, Peppermint Mocha Latte. SO good!! And it was served in the red holiday cup....ahhh. Call me crazy, but I love those red cups :)

Happy Monday to you. Cold is here to stay, so bundle up!

A Little Porch Time

It's windy. The Sun is shining, though, and the weather forecast for the next week sounds brrr cold. So, guess where I'm enjoying my coffee this afternoon. On my porch, of course!

I have a blanket so I'll be fine for a little while.

I will miss being out here. This spot has been my sanctuary.

Pumpkin spice coffee.... Yum! I like Archer Farms brand, from Target. Green Mountain or Dunkin Donut brands are ok too.

Enjoy a few shots of my view...

It looks like November, doesn't it?

I just saw the another neighbor putting up Christmas lights. Wow. The first one took down the giant spider and scarecrow decorations and out came the lights and wreaths. (And the lights are already lit every night)  I'm thinking this might be a beautiful Christmas neighborhood....we will need to step up our game, as Christy just stated :)

I got cold and came indoors. Oh how I enjoyed it!

Now there's a little girl snuggled up on me and we are watching Tangled. It's a good day.

Enjoy this beautiful Wednesday!

I Feel Blessed

It's a Monday. It's late afternoon. Dinner is ready to be placed in the oven. I feel blessed today and want to show you why =)

I LOVE my kitchen. Even when I see/make it a mess. I'm a messy cook, I really am!

This kitchen is so spacious. I don't need to dig deep within the depths to get to the items I need to make a meal for our hungry bunch. I'm blessed beyond anything I could have ever imagined. Yes I am.

Behind this door is something I'm so thrilled to have in this kitchen.....

Blessed, indeed.....

This appliance works for me =)

Time to empty and reload. Yup, there's never a shortage of dirty dishes around here.

What's it looking like in your neck of the woods? Take a little look at ours.....

Empty pots ......

Empty flower beds......

Mostly empty trees!

Saturday was a big leaf clean up day for the men in this house. How nice of our neighbor to let Corey borrow his gas powered leaf blower. With that and the smaller electric one that Corey has, the guys had the back yard cleared in a jiffy. Aidan and Zoe had fun being outdoors too.

Last week one day as Zoe and I were leaving to go somewhere (I don't remember where!) she said, Yeah, it will soon be winter!!  Oh dear, I don't share her enthusiasm at all. Later I asked why she said that....I wasn't at all sure what prompted the sudden season declaration. She said, I can see through the trees!! Well, of course, that's it :)

Time to clean up the kitchen! And I don't mind doing it one bit.

Happy Monday to you!
