Two Sweeties

These two pictures showed up on my Facebook page today. They are just too cute and I must share :)

Grand Brinley Hope will be 3 years old on Sunday. We can't wait to celebrate with her :)

Grand baby Carson. He just looks way too big sitting in this seat and showing off his big smile!

Our Grands have a way of melting us, don't they?  I'm nearly in a puddle of love right now..... :))

Fun week end; My pretty world

It was to Rehoboth Beach for me this past Friday. I know, I said my last beach trip for this year was about a month ago...
A group of friends that I have not seen in years asked me to join them on their beach get-away. They have asked me to go several times over the years but it never suited me. This year I said YES! So glad I did....it was SO much fun!

We ate, shopped and shopped, played games (they lovingly and patiently taught me several of their favorites....I'm not much of a game player), talked about our lives, our kids and Grands, we looked at pictures. I enjoyed my time away tremendously.

After shopping for hours at the Rehoboth Outlets on Saturday, we were hungry. I suggested Bethany Blues, a restaurant our family loves. None of the girls had been there before....now they love it too :)

Cindy, Lydianne, Lisa

Brenda, me, Marilyn

We went back to the house.....

Lisa and I decided to relax.

The rest of the girls decided to play a game.

We wanted to walk the boardwalk before heading home on Sunday. Rehoboth Beach must be a hopping place even in late October on a Sunday afternoon. We could not find parking! So, Marilyn drove to a spot where we could see the water... We looked, we enjoyed, we left! No pictures of the water.

All too soon it was time to pack up, clean the house and head back to Pa.

Lisa and Cindy rode together. The other 3, including me, rode with Marilyn in her van. Marilyn and her van transported us all around town for our escapades. Marilyn is a very good driver and we all appreciated her so much.

Marilyn says goodby to Cindy.

Locking up the house and away we go.

Thanks, Lisa, for asking me to join you. I had a wonderful time!

Today is a beautiful Fall day. Our world on the top of this hill is absolutely beautiful. I had my lunch on the porch and enjoyed some crisp air. Was a bit chilly but not blanket chilly today :)

So pretty!!

All the kids said we must take this pump trough with us when we move. I was reluctant, but seeing it like this in our back yard.... Yes, I'm glad we listened.
(Hubby and son suggested placing it in a flower bed in the front yard...I've not agreed to that yet. We'll see )

Hubby hung my swing... Love it!!

Yes, it's a beautiful world.

Hope you are enjoying this lovely day!

Beauty....the trees.....a plate.....our baby!

Our back yard was so pretty this morning. Had to grab the phone and snap a few pics....

I was hoping to have time to sit and enjoy the view today but it didn't happen.

I never take pictures of my food but on Sunday I did. We ate at a little Family restaurant near our home. We had never been there before. The food was good and looked so pretty on Fiesta (I didn't turn it over to see if was that brand or not) plates! I loved the plates.

How pretty!

Look at our baby Carson! He is growing and keeps getting cuter by the day. I love those little tufts of hair that won't stay down at the top of his head.

I am soooo in love with this little guy :)

Tomorrow Ellen and I are taking a bus trip with her school to visit a 2 year vocational school for special needs kids in Johnstown PA. We don't know if Ellen will be interested in going there, but we are checking it out. We leave early in the morning... That's the hardest part for me!!

Good night!  zzzzzzzzz

This and That

Last week was the Manheim Farm Show. We got there twice... Monday and Thursday. It's hard for me to find food that will not cause me pain later. Bummer, for sure! I ate fries and a bowl of chili on Thursday.  I didn't have a NY style sub sandwich. Sigh. I usually treated myself to 2 of those on this week .

We were delighted to see this sweetie at the Farm Show :)

Carson!

We didn't go to the parade on Wednesday because Ellen had a special event that night. It was a hard choice for her to make because she loves a parade too. I'm certain we haven't missed the parade in more than 40 years.

UDS Challenger Football and Cheering Awards Banquet, always a great time for our special kids!

Ellen with her friends.

More friends!

We do a selfie :)

Cylo was there!

I wanted Ellen to dance with him but she said she was way too hungry and needed food first! He is always so fun!!

We had an awesome catered meal then it was awards time.

Ellen gets a hug from Deb, the Donegal HS cheering coach who volunteers her time along with some of her girls to teach our special kids. We APPRECIATE it so much.

Deb and Ellen
Another wonderful cheering season comes to a close.

Last week I shopped at Michael's. My friend Tammy works there and I was thrilled to see her working that day. I tried to hurry do the choosing of what I came for (hard task indeed with so many choices!) so she wouldn't leave before I was finished. She told me she worked later than usual that day to cover for someone who couldn't get there on time..... How nice for me that it was that particular day. Tammy, here's what I did with my purchases....

This is not where I was planning to use these leaves but I liked them here best :) in fact, none of my purchases ended up where I thought they would!

Not the greatest shot... I think it looks much better that it looks here!

I'll close with a few more pics from Sunday. These were taken by several of my sisters.

Precious family of three :)

There we are... The bunch that gathered here on Sunday!

Give me a baby and I am a very content gal....Carson, I cannot get enough of you! He is so sweet and growing SO fast!!

Everyone is back to work or school today.  Zoe and I are hanging out at home. It's a good day!

Family is the Best!

We had a house full of family yesterday... From PA, Idaho, and Sweden!

Grandma Mary meets Carson!

My sister Jean meets Ashlyn and her mommy Chelsea who are from Idaho. Chelsea married our nephew a few years ago. None of us could attend their wedding. They flew across country last week to spend time with their PA family. How special for all of us!

These three are from Sweden. Micky is in the red sweatshirt. She is Jean's daughter. Micky's son, the handsome redhead, is living locally this school year... His senior year. He's playing football for our home school district...or, what was our home district before we moved :) The lady in the middle is a friend of Micky's. She wanted to see America and hired Micky to be her tour guide. They are not hitting touristy places. Instead, she is experiencing family life. How cool is that?!!

We enjoyed being together as these pictures show...

Carson with Great Grandma Mary.

Pop Pop with his two youngest Grands.

Michael (our nephew from Idaho) is a wonderful daddy! Love seeing these 'babies' grow up to be great parents :) Michael was just a little guy when my sister Barb and her hubby moved their family to a farm in Idaho.

She is a doll!

Lots of conversations!

Of course we had food! Lots of yummy food!!

So thrilled for the nice day... Loved it that some could enjoy our porch!

Ashlyn stole our hearts!

She really did!

Paityn wanted to hold Carson... So sweet!

Chatting, relaxing, enjoying being together :)

Special. That's what it was!

It's Farm Show Week!

Its Farm Show week in our (former) home town. For the first time in many, many years, we will not be there every night. It's just too far to go 5 days in a row. We did start off the week just right, though, by watching the baby parade and eating some yummy food last evening!

Aidan and Zoe get ready to watch the cute kids walk the streets :)

Zoe loved these kids! Frozen :)

There's a cutie!

I didn't capture this kid in his pose... He was a baseball trophy. He got his picture in the newspaper this morning!

That was fun, says Aidan and Zoe :)
Now, let's find our cousins and get something to eat!

Eating in the food tent... Always an experience :)

French fries are the best!! Chicken sandwich, walking taco, sausage sandwich, soup, milkshakes....it's all fantastic!!

Zoe says she prefers a hot dog!

Baby Carson was there too but I didn't get a picture of him. He was all snuggled up in the wrap that his Mommy uses to carry him. He loves it!

Here's a few pics from Sunday.
Brinley LOVES Carson....

Aunt Kimmy loves him too!

We all love him so much!

Carson melts me...

Bless you this fine Tuesday! Today I'll do some grocery shopping and want to check at Home Goods for a small rug for the space at the bottom of our stairs. It's right outside the storage/workshop area and sees a lot of traffic . I purchased one at Ross on Saturday but will return it. It just wasn't right. Hope I find something soon. I do love the hunt :)
