Pictures :)

Hmm, let's give THIS a try....

Beautiful day (Saturday) for going to the beach!

The walk from the boardwalk is L.O.N.G!!

Ellen rubs in the sunscreen :)

Zoe plays in the sand....

Aidan flies his kite...

And plays baseball with his Dad...

We had dinner at a favorite Diner...

I sat across from this cutie pie :)

She loved the mirror:)

She and her brother share cookie crumble pancakes....she's enjoying it!

We leave the Diner....

...and head for the Boardwalk. Go Cart Fun!
Not for me this year. I tried it last year and I didn't think it was fun...AT ALL!!

Of course we had ice cream.... That's why you walk the Boardwalk!!

Silly Ellen!

Time to head back to the house.

Sunday was another beautiful day. We stayed on the beach as long as we could.

I'm so very thankful for this chance to enjoy the sun, sand, and surf one more time before it gets cold again. I love the beach!!

Hey this worked....as long as I use pics from my phone. I only took them with my phone this trip. Kinda liking this handy-dandy phone :)

Blessings :)

Anybody out there??

If I don't post something soon, will I have any readers left?? That's what rolls through the brain!

I've started several posts last week but always gave up when I couldn't post pictures with it. Computer issues, ugh! What good is a post without pictures?? Not much, at least for me... I read blog posts from other folks who don't include pictures and think it's just fine. Why can't I feel the same about my blog ??

Picture-less post happenings:

We went to the beach. Again 😊.... Friday evening to Sunday evening. This time we were in Wildwood NJ. The weather was PERFECT! You will have to trust me on that one since I can't show you the pictures....

It was time for my annual fasting blood work this morning. It was a late night yesterday and I couldn't have coffee this morning. Ugh. Oh we'll, I went to Starbucks for a Pumpkin Spice latte after they took my blood :) got my flu shot too.

I purchased a Samsung Tab 4. I'm liking it. I rarely cook from a cookbook anymore. Looking at recipes on my phone was getting old.... A larger screen is much better!

I got an iPhone 5. My goodness, what an upgrade that was for me!! I had a 3GS until July when Gina got a new phone. I then used her 4. My 3GS was causing me fits!

I love living in this house! I'd post two pics I posted on Facebook... But, you know, computer issues. My son can fix these issues but he's too busy right now. He puts in some serious hours most of the time. (I did too when I worked) Christy does too. Living with them works all the way around our busy lives!

I made a chicken, rice, and broccoli casserole for dinner. It's yummy! My husband's family will wonder if he ate broccoli... No he did not! I also made a chicken and stuffing dish :)

Picture-less post comes to a close. Happy Monday! I'll be watching The Voice tonight. Love that show!

Mother/Daughter Beach Trip

The first word that comes to mind this morning concerning this past weekend is...FUN!! Ellen's friends and their mom's (minus 2, sadly) went to a vacation home near Rehoboth Beach Saturday morning until Sunday evening. What a great group of friends! We had such a good time and plan to do it again next year.

The girls and I went in Terry's van. The rest of the moms traveled in Reba's van.

Elizabeth, Emily, Ellen

Marissa, Bri
They are all smiles and ready to get to the beach!

Ellen takes a pic of me as I snap one of her =)

Guess what we are passing....

I almost missed it...
Dover Raceway!
Ellen LOVES Nascar!

We were almost at the beach house but decided to stop for lunch. We found a Burger King.

Lunch with the bunch ♥

We arrived at the house, unloaded our stuff...let the FUN begin!

Emily, Bri and Maureen relax.

We all had to enter the very long wifi password posted on the frig
in our multiple devices!

The community pool was closed for the season so we decided to head to the beach even though the weather didn't seem that nice. We were so glad we did because it got better and better as we were there!

First we drove into Rehoboth. It was packed! No parking to be found. So I suggested the Towers Beach where we usually go. It was closed!! There must have been a large event happening there. We kept on driving...decided to see how full Bethany Beach was. We found parking and it was all good!

Our precious girls!

The waves were big!
the water felt cold at first but wasn't too bad.
I got my feet wet =)

There was a wedding right there on the beach next to us. So much fun to watch!

Back to the beach house to clean up so we could get pizza on the boardwalk!

My beautiful Ellen.
We had a short wait to be seated.

We waited across from this shop...

An Ice Cream shop!
Ellen was so hungry and really wanted ice cream at the beach.
But she needed something more filling first, her Mom said =)
(pardon the guy who unknowingly photo-bombed the pic, hehe)
Ellen got ice cream before we left the boardwalk,
of course she did!
(I did too ☺)

Seems like a good time to check what's happening in the world as we wait =)

Back to the house again after we ate and walked the boardwalk.

We laughed a lot!!

The girls watched a movie and the moms chatted. Some of the girls got tired and went to bed before the movie was over. Ellen was not one of them! Ellen and I had a nice room with two queen beds. We slept just fine.

Sunday morning started with coffee for those of us that must have it....then a wonderful breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, orange juice and an assortment of pastries. Yum!!

Of course to the beach we went when breakfast was over and the dishes washed.

It was not as sunny as the previous day.
We had fun anyway =)

Yes, we laughed A LOT!

All too soon our beach vacation was coming to a close.

Time to pack it all up.

We head for PA....

We say goodbye to the wonderful house.

But first....we are hungry again! Friendly's is the place this time.

The wait for our food was forever long.
As you can see, we found FUN even in that ♥

Thanks, Reba, for coordinating this lovely time away. Wonderful memories were made. Ellen and I enjoyed every moment of this special time. Looking forward to next year!!

It's a Cool Monday

The heat and humidity has gone. Today it feels like Fall.

Soooo, I went to the storage room, found a box and a bin and got to work....if you can call it work ☺

A pumpkin on a table is a good thing,
especially when sitting here having a cup of
pumpkin spice coffee.
YES, indeed!

This wreath is so old.
I should spruce it up a bit...

This says Fall, don't you think?

Blessings to you this fine Monday!

This Baseball game was a Hit! (in more ways than one)

Last evening we attended a Lancaster Barnstormers game...the only game we will attend this season. It was a special night for cheerleaders. UDS Cheering, Ellen's group, was honored at the game. Enjoy some pictures of this wonderful evening.

It was a beautiful evening!

Elizabeth and her mom go meet the rest our of girls in the stands.
All the teams did a parade around the field before the game.

There they go!!
Our special girls ♥

Everyone got to do a cheer...
our girls did two cheers!
The group that helps our girls came too.

This fellow always makes the game fun!
He danced and wiggled as the girls did their cheers.

Ellen and her helper get some instruction......

She goes out on the field
because....

She threw a First Pitch!!
I didn't get a picture of her throwing,
she got out there and threw it right away!
Guess she wanted to get it over with =)

Heading off the field to join the team for the National Anthem.

Our Flag and the
National Anthem
gives me chills every time!

Back to the stands
with the ball!!
Some of the Barnstormer's players are coming to the Challenger Football game on Saturday.
Ellen hopes to get her baseball signed.

Look who came to the game...
Carson ♥
First time for Aunt Nancy to see him.
Aunt Kimmy loves holding a baby!

Yes, we watched some ball =)

There were several of these by our favorite team!
They won ☺

Ellen's friend Nicole and her mom share some ice cream.
Elizabeth and her mom enjoying the look of it!

Cylo came to visit us.....

Ellen loves him!

Cylo loves Carson!

I continue to hold Carson and snap pictures.....

What happened next could have been a lot worse.

I heard a
'Watch Out"
or something of the sort.
Turned slightly...
a ball hit the top of my shoulder.

It hit ME
and NOT Carson!!

The ball hit the roof above us and dropped down right where I was standing.

Whew.
The Angels were watching out for us, for sure.
It didn't hit me on the head.
It didn't hit Carson at all.

I have a sore spot that hurts if it's touched
and I feel it with arm movement.

It could have been so much worse.

Thank you, Lancaster Barnstormers for giving an evening to honor our special girls! Our Girl has a night she will remember forever. Carson has a baseball with a story to be told when he is older.
